Ellen's Love

Even while she was still here with us, my Granny Ellen was my Guardian Angel. Our hearts aligned, our connection was deep, we had lifetimes together, way before this one.

Our love for fresh herbs, flowers, lotions and potions was something we had always shared, but it was through our journey into the world of ‘Natural’ that our bond strengthened.

As we gathered in her kitchen to blend, I found myself immersed in memories, the healers of a timeworn Apothecary, surrounded by earthy scents of ground spice and the rustle of herb bundles, together we crafted. Honouring our heritage and the gifts it gave us.

I Still Recall

Something shifted that day

Something moved and shifted, when she told me that she had enrolled us into an Aromatherapy Workshop at the Fremantle Arts Centre. Everything felt lighter. A few days later, she arrived to pick me up wearing a warm sunny smile, cheery outlook and beautiful rosy cheeks, she was always such a ray of light. So off we went, crutches under my arms, physically fragile and emotionally spent. But…for the first time in months I felt a spark of excitement, like magic was afoot.

As I hobbled up that old wooden staircase and stepped into the sunlit workshop, I felt a sense of belonging. With the help of my gorgeous Granny, I had found my way home.

Memories from Another Time

intuition that ran deep

I’d dabbled in herbal propagation and had a basic understanding of essential oils, but unexpectedly from deep within, came a strong sense of knowledge an intuitive guide. I effortlessly knew exactly what to do, what to blend and what to create. Memories perhaps from that Apothecary life? When my little batches turned out perfect it was Granny who lovingly hand-wrote my formulas on delicate pink place cards with gold trim. I still treasure them today, holding the memory close to my heart.

Beautiful moments in time

From that beautiful moment in time, that magical afternoon, to the countless hours and bottles of oil spent crafting our blends, my Granny was by my side. Guiding me with unwavering encouragement. Ellen left this world in 2018, and I have no doubt, she is still my very own Guardian Angel. To this day I still sense her presence, hear her lovely laugh, those jingly bangles and know she’s behind the chime of our studio bell and the friendly faces that walk through the doors. Her love for me and for all that is pure and good in this world, breathed life into Mother Earth Aromatherapy.

Jacqueline's Love

My sister Jacqueline had an energy like no other. A big beautiful smile that lit up the room and made you feel special. Her golden hair and bronze skin reflected her warm spirit and generous heart. She really was quite the beauty.

Jacqueline had an innate connection with nature, embracing natural products, yoga, affirmations and meditation long before they became popular, she was always way ahead of time. She lived with a wisdom that inspired those around her, guiding us towards a more mindful and healthy way of life.

After my fourth year in business, things became a little overwhelming. That’s when Jacqueline stepped in, bringing with her passion, clear vision and an infectious positive vibe. She seamlessly infused her spiritual knowledge into our products and processes and by virtue into me as well.

Our little rituals

Little did I know that my sister’s involvement would profoundly shape the energetics of my business. She introduced me to all the good stuff, creating high vibes for our space and products. Cleansing with sage smoke and amplifying energy through crystal grids, feng shui and living plants was just a few.

We incorporated light frequencies, daily meditation and played uplifting subliminal music. Jacqueline transformed our studio into a haven of light, energetically clear and spiritually clean. These rituals became a part of who we are and how we do business.

Not just a Pretty Face

Smart, spiritual and savvy

Her intuitive intelligence and insight reached beyond the spiritual world too, teaching us that our thoughts have the power to create our reality. So, by the power of manifestation Jacqueline significantly grew our wholesale operation. She took Mother Earth Aromatherapy to trade shows, expos, promotions and steered the business in an exciting direction. Throughout it all, she reminded us to keep our cups of self-love full. Jacqueline taught us that self-care and self-love are intertwined, emphasizing that to be the best version of us, we need to love and nurture ourselves. By tending to our bodies with daily acts of self-care, we plant seeds of self-love that grow and flourish.

She was good at loving herself, which became the heart of this business. Jacq and I were true Pamper Queens, convinced that self-care can happen anywhere! A pampering ritual often came with us, wherever we went. It was common to find us on extended lunch breaks down the beach, enjoying the summer sun with face masks and body scrubs, rinsing off in the ocean. Those simple natural moments we shared brought us so much happiness, memories that I will always cherish.

A Sister's Bond

Bound by a Soul Agreement

Working alongside my sister daily wasn’t always a ‘walk on the beach’. Like all siblings we had our share of ups and downs. Yet, through it all Jacqueline imparted invaluable lessons. She encouraged me to speak from my heart and taught me the importance of trusting the process and releasing what no longer serves. Her selfless dedication, putting my needs before her own business, was a profound gift, a true mark of a supportive sister. We had challenges to face individually and together, but as two strong women bound by a ‘Soul Agreement’, we navigated our journey exactly as it was meant to unfold.

My sister Jacqueline passed away on Mother’s Day in 2021. Her soul and vibrations live on in every single product we create. As she looks down on us from above, I deeply hope she is proud of the incredible impact she has had on Mother Earth Aromatherapy. I believe she was here, on earth with a mission, to assist the shift of consciousness and for the evolution of humanity and the planet. Together we embraced this through Aromatherapy, providing women with tools for Self-Love and empowerment.
