Our Custom Design service is ideal for retail stores, online shops, day spas, beauty salons, yoga studios, and health and wellness businesses. It’s also a fabulous opportunity for corporate gifting and promotional products, allowing you to offer something truly special to your clients.

Step-by-Step Guide to your Custom Design Journey
1. Get Connected
Simply fill out and submit our 'Custom Design Enquiry Form' below, with as much detail as possible. One of our gorgeous girls will be in touch by phone or email to briefly discuss our process, so get excited!
2. Meet & Greet
Once we have reviewed your application and think we can create magic for you, we'll then invite you to our Aromatherapy Studio, in Fremantle, Western Australia for a meet up. If that's not possible on the phone will do.
Together we can discuss your brand, your vision and the lines you would like us to design. Sample products from the MEA collections will be available for you at discounted prices, as you will want to experience first hand, just how gorgeous they truly are! It's now time to get creative, so write down all your ideas, trust us, they will come flooding in!
3. Get Confidential
So you have chosen us and we have chosen you, time to get confidential. From here both businesses enter into a Confidentiality & Non Disclosure Agreement, protecting us both and keeping our ideas close to our hearts only.
This is also when Design & Development Fees are due, calculated on the number of products.
4. Design & Develop
We meet again, we get creative, the magic begins, this is the fun bit! We work together, sharing our thoughts and fabulous ideas, exploring the finer details of design.
Next is the best bit, for us... Product design! This can take us 14 days, depending on the amount of products in your collection and the complexity of your formulations.
5. Sampling
When your samples are ready we'll meet you back at the studio and take you through the designs, hear you screech with delight and watch your face light up with big smiles! We list any changes, highly unusual, we mostly get it right first time!
You will be happy, we will be happy, we give you samples to take and we get quoting. Once the samples and quotes are approved by you, we then enter into a Manufacturing Agreement. Your written order, along with a 50% deposit is due and then we begin production! YAY!
6. Craft & Create
This is when the magic happens. Production time! Our girls get busy in the studio hand-crafting your amazing products, Once its all made, it will be ready for label application. We offer this service in-house for an additional fee, or you can organise this yourself.
Your products will then be available for collection, or we can ship them if you live rurally or are interstate.

Terms of Trade
Product Formulation
All formulations created by Mother Earth Aromatherapy remain the property of Mother Earth Aromatherapy.
Mother Earth Aromatherapy can not manufacture an existing formula produced by another product formulator.
Design & Development Fee
Prior to quoting, your product must be created and a sample produced. A non refundable design and development fee of $300 per product is charged.
To ensure your satisfaction, we will provide as many samples as required, until you are 100% happy. We like to work closely with our customers to ensure that we produce exactly what you desire, and that you are totally in love your products prior to the production stage.
Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreement
We hold Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreements with all Custom Design customers. This agreement protects both parties and is to be entered into, prior to design and quote. The agreement does not commit your business to an order, it simply protects all intellectual property, technical information and ideas that both parties release.
Samples, Product Information & Quotation
Samples and information sheets on each product accompanied with a detailed quote will be provided at your third meeting with us. The information sheet will detail the following:
- Active ingredients
- Packaging suggestions
- Product sizes
- Product benefits and research
- Directions for use.
All samples and information released by MEA will remain the property of MEA and must be returned if Contract Manufacturing does not proceed.
Minimum Run Size
Custom Design - Our minimum run size is 150 units per product line for Custom Design.
This amount can often exceed 150 units or can be a little under, due to the nature of 'Natural Product Production'.
Ingredients & Raw Materials
Our materials and ingredients are sourced predominantly from Australian and International companies who sit in integrity and supply genuine, quality ingredients.
Natural Skincare Products may vary slightly in consistency, colour and scent from batch to batch. This is usually due the harvest / yield of raw ingredients. This may result in a slightly different colour, texture or scent, in comparison with the previous batch. While this can affect the end product, the change is usually very minimal.
Should you choose to use any 'Specialty Ingredients’ in your range, that we can do not have easily available to us, your company may be required to purchase the product/s separately. This cost will not be included in the our product costing.
Manufacturing & Production Agreement
To protect both parties, we will jointly enter into a Manufacturing & Production Agreement, prior to production.
The terms of this agreement states that the products exclusively designed and manufactured by Mother Earth Aromatherapy are solely for your company. Mother Earth Aromatherapy can not supply these design to any other business and these products will not be reproduced in any way, by any other manufacturing facility. Mother Earth Aromatherapy owns the rights to the essential oil blend within formula and the ingredient listing of our designs.
We pride ourselves on loyalty, trust and integrity and choose to operate our business from our hearts.
Containers, Jars, Bottles & Closures
We have a range of quality glassware that we recommend for packaging.
However, you can choose to provide us with glassware and closures that you have sourced yourself. We will happily assist with trials to ensure that your chosen containers are suitable and seal tightly. However, we take no responsibility for any problems that may occur in the future.
If you supply your own containers, they must be delivered directly to us and be fill-ready (all closures separate and removed from jar/bottle/tin).
PLEASE NOTE: Mother Earth Aromatherapy will not package in plastic, due to product integrity.
Labelling Requirements
All products designed and manufactured by Mother Earth Aromatherapy must adhere to the following labelling requirements on all product labels, boxes, containers, tins, etc.
ALL PRODUCT LABELS MUST STIPULATE:
- Exclusively designed & manufactured for ___________ (your company name), by Mother Earth Aromatherapy, copyright.
- Natural products may vary slightly in consistency, colour & scent. They may also contain traces of herbal extract.
- Full ingredient listing – All ingredients from largest to smallest amounts.
- Patch test advisable.
Label Application & Packaging
In-house label application and packaging can be administered by Mother Earth Aromatherapy, as an added extra service. Labelling costs are $40.00 per hour.
Our gorgeous labelling and packaging girls are efficient and precise. Please advise us if you would like your packaging carried out by us and we will include it as an extra cost in your quotation.
Label Design & Printing
We work closely with a label Specialist that specialises in short run printing. We can create logos, carry out design work and produce product labels in house.
Our labels are quality, waterproof, UV and oil resistant and are available in satin gloss (matt finish look) and standard gloss. They’re available in full colour and can be of any shape that you require (without die costs). Product Label samples can be viewed at our initial meeting.
If you choose for us to design and develop your packaging we can organise a separate quote for this extra service.
Consultation Fee
A Consultation Fee of $70 per hour is charged by Mother Earth Aromatherapy for any additional services including sourcing specialised ingredients, packaging, graphic art - label design and liaising with printers etc.
Indicative Lead Times
DESIGN & FORMULATION: This is usually between 1-2 weeks, depending on the complexity of the formulations, utilising standard raw ingredients. If you require specialised ingredients or containers that you have instructed us to source, lead time is up to one month to allow for delivery of goods.
PRODUCTION: After a written order and 50% deposit of total cost has been received, completion of the final product/s will take up to 4 weeks. This is dependent on the amount of lines in the range and delivery time for specialised ingredients and containers if required.
Freight, Charges & Payment Terms
FREIGHT: For local customers in Western Australia, we prefer products to be collected, by you, from our Aromatherapy Studio. We would like the opportunity to show you your range and discuss any issues or questions that you may have.
For clients in eastern states or rural locations, we can pack and arrange for your goods to be sent to you, however the costs of freight will be your responsibility. We recommend that insurance is taken out at the time of booking and making transportation arrangements.
CHARGES: All prices quoted are without GST. This is a standard 10% which is added onto the end of all invoices.
PAYMENT TERMS: All contract manufacturing is C.O.D; Mother Earth must receive payment prior to goods leaving our business premises.
